The Medicine Hat Tigers have started the re-bolstering of their championship roster with a pair of signings.

The 2025 WHL Champions announced the signings of forward Noah Davidson and D-man Kyle Heger.

The 16-year-old Davidson was selected in the second round, 31st overall by the Tigers in the 2023 WHL U.S. Prospect Draft. It was the same draft they selected forward Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll 11th overall.

The Irvine, Calif. product has spent the past two seasons with Shattuck St. Mary’s U16 and U18 teams. Last season, he scored 40 goals with 72 points in 58 games. He is committed to play NCAA hockey at Boston College in 2027-28.

“Noah is an offensive forward with impressive physical tools combining strength and agility,” director of player personnel Bobby Fox said in a release. “He has great hands, a heavy shot and has a knack for finding space for high grade scoring chances.”

The 17-year-old Heger was selected by the Tigers with the 135th selection in the 2022 WHL Prospect Draft. The Eagan, Minn. product has played the last three seasons at Shattuck St. Mary’s playing with the U15 AAA, U16 AAA and U18 Prep squads. Last year at U18, he had eight goals and 59 points in 58 games. Heger is committed to Western Michigan University for 2027-28.

“Kyle is a standout defenceman with exceptional vision and puck moving ability,” Fox said. “He possesses a heavy shot with a quick release that can beat goalies cleanly or create second opportunities.”

The pair makes a trio of U.S. born players signed by the Tigers in 2025. They inked 2024 U.S. Draft pick Owen Hayes on April 30.
