Professional chuckwagon races back in the Hat tonight

Wheels will be turning tonight down at the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede grounds as World Professional Chuckwagon Association racing gets underway until Sunday at the Grandstand.

Roger Moore, Dustin Gorst, Dayton Sutherland and Troy Dorchester will be among 36 top drivers participating in the four days of racing that include 12 heats of three chuckwagons racing per heat.

The top three drivers in the aggregate standings after the first three days of racing will qualify for the Championship Final Dash for the Cash on Sunday afternoon.

Action begins tonight at 7 p.m. and wraps up at 10 p.m. Races continue Saturday and Sunday nights from 7-10 p.m., and the Dash for Cash starts at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Saturday evening will also include the Rookie Racer events that begin at 5:30 p.m., which include 10 children aged 5-12 who will be randomly chosen to receive a tour of the barns, photo and autograph session with the drivers and the UFA merchandise.
