The Medicine Hat U15 Thunder Black were undefeated over four games on the road this weekend in Calgary, picking up three wins and a tie.
They kicked things off with a 19-5 win Saturday over the Thunder. Chloe Armstrong had two hits and scored twice, adding an RBI. Janessa Weber had three RBIs with two hits. Weber also started the game on the mound. Both her and Addyson Darr pitched two innings each, both recording two strikeouts.
They beat the Calgary Blue 12-7 later in the day. Darr led the offence, scoring three times, adding two hits and two RBIs. Armstrong had a pair of RBIs with a hit and a run scored, Jaycee Pope scored three times, adding two hits. Ryann Lewandowski pitched a complete game, throwing four innings with eight strikeouts.
The Thunder Black tied their first game Sunday, 9-9 with the Lethbridge Heat. Darr had a hit with and RBI and a run scored, Breanna Lank had a pair of hits with an RBI. Calico Jones scored twice with a hit and a run scored. Darr started the game, working two innings with a strikeout. Kendyl Geddes-Martin also pitched two innings, recording three strikeouts.
They capped off the weekend with an 8-2 win over the YYC Red.
Hadley Vold scored twice with a hit and an RBI; Weber had a hit, RBI and a run scored; Morgan Gage had a hit with an RBI and a run scored.
Weber worked the full game on the mound, recording 11 strikeouts in four innings of work.
The Medicine Hat U15 Thunder Red were in action with five games over the weekend.
They opened the weekend with a 3-2 win Friday over the Strathmore Thunder.
Kiya Britton had a hit with an RBI and a run scored in the win. Farren Campbell pitched 2.2 innings with four strikeouts.
They lost 8-2 to the U15 Grande Prairie Pirates. Paiten Marshall scored and had a hit, while Avery Regehr had a hit with an RBI. Emily Kleemola started the game on the mound, working four innings with five strikeouts. Nellie Campbell had a strikeout in an inning of work.
The Thunder lost 13-11 to the Leduc Jets on Saturday.
Marshall had four RBIs with two runs scored, adding a hit. Nellie Campbell scored twice and added two RBIs with a hit, Haidyn Pidlisny scored twice and added a hit with an RBI.
Kianna Mastel worked 2.1 innings with two strikeouts. Regehr pitched two innings with a strikeout.
The Thunder were shut out 15-0 later in the day Saturday. Pidlisny and Emma Agar-Weninger each had a hit. Nellie and Farren Campbell each pitched an inning, both recording a strikeout.
They capped off the weekend with a 14-5 win over the Lloydminster Liners.
Kylie James led the offence, collecting three hits with two RBIs and two runs scored. Kiya Britton had three RBIs with two hits, and Pidlisny had a pair of hits and a pair of runs scored with an RBI. Kleemola started the game on the mound, working four innings with four strikeouts. Mastel pitched a frame, recording two strikeouts.
U13
The U13 Thunder Black softball team competed in the Calgary SASS Tournament over the weekend, finishing with two wins and two losses.
On Saturday, Thunder Black opened the tournament with a 9-7 loss to YYC Elite C. Sydney Mutschler was named game MVP. In their second matchup, they earned a 9-5 win over Red Deer, with Addison Ross taking MVP honours.
On Sunday, they started the day with a dominant 20-3 win over Brooks, Harper Drescher was named MVP for her performance. Thunder Black closed out the weekend with a 12-3 loss to the Lethbridge Heat, where Alexa Jubelius was selected as MVP.

The U13 Thunder White team won all four games they played over the weekend.
They kicked things off with a 15-7 win over Lethbridge 2.
Karsynn T scored twice with a hit and a run. All three of Julie Giesbrecht, Aria Haland and Madelyn Ulmer each scored twice. Giesbrecht started the game on the mound, recording six strikeouts in three innings of work.
Ulmer pitched an inning with two strikeouts.
They beat the Innisfail Hawks 10-9 later in the day Saturday. Arya Goulard had six RBIs with three hits and two runs scored. Both Haland and Giesbrecht had a hit and a run scored, Jocelyn Leopold scored three times.
Kassidy Etienne pitched 2.2 innings with six strikeouts, Ulmer worked an inning with a strikeout.
They beat the Cranbrook Royals 4-3 on Sunday. Lilah Vair had two hits in the win. Emery Tuchscherer started the game, working three innings with six strikeouts. Ulmer pitched two innings with five strikeouts.
The Thunder White capped off the weekend with an 11-9 win over the Red Deer Rampage.
Haland had two hits and scored twice, adding an RBI. Emily Gergely had two RBIs with a hit and a run scored, Goulard tallied two hits and two runs scored. Etienne started the game on the mound, working three innings with five strikeouts. Ulmer pitched the last two frames, with three strikeouts.
U11
The Medicine Hat U11 Thunder Black split their four-game weekend.
They opened play Saturday with a 14-8 loss to the YYC Elite. Alayna Giesbrecht had a hit with an RBI and a run scored, Macie Britton scored twice. Giesbrecht and Jaelie Varner each pitched an inning, both recording a strikeout.
The Thunder won a slugfest on Saturday, beating the Duchess Jays 20-19.
Varner had three hits and scored three times with two RBIs, Journey Kohls had two hits with two runs scored and an RBI. Chloe Toker tallied three RBIs with two hits and two runs scored. Harper Clark and Toker each pitched an inning with three strikeouts.
They beat the Lethbridge Heat 16-15 on Sunday. Varner scored three times, Toker had a hit with an RBI and a run scored. Both Macie Britton and Giesbrecht scored twice.
Britton worked two strikeouts to start the game, Scarlet Leahy pitched 1.2 innings with two strikeouts.
They lost the final game of the weekend, falling 20-14 to the Cranbrook Royals.
Kohls had two hits with two RBIs and a run scored, Clark had a pair of hits and runs scored, and Aphten Myram had two RBIs with a hit and a run scored. Kohls worked two strikeouts on the mound before Ava Lanuk recorded a strikeout as well.
