The Majestics hosted an eight-team invitational over the weekend, taking on teams from Western Canada and Montana. They opened the weekend with an 11-0 win over the Havre Northstars on Friday. Dylan Harnett had a pair of RBIs with a hit and a run scored, Kade Velichko tallied a pair of RBIs with a hit. Gavin Nardari threw a complete game, striking out eight batters in five innings of work. They carried momentum into Saturday, with a 10-4 win over the Lloydminster Prairie Pirates and a 24-6 victory over the Edmonton Padres. Against Lloydminster, Harnett had three RBIs with two hits, Mason Opp scored twice and had two hits, adding an RBI. Harnett started the game, working six innings with eight strikeouts. Beckett Lybbert finished the game on the mound with a strikeout in his inning of work. In the bloated win over Edmonton, Koby Brost and Lybbert each had two hits and two RBIs with a run scored, Nardari scored four runs, adding a hit and two RBIs. Opp had three hits with two runs scored and an RBI. Jace Berner worked four innings with five strikeouts, Brost pitched the last frame with a strikeout. The Majestics faced the Black Gold 47’s in the finals Sunday, falling 9-2. Lybbert had a hit with an RBI, he also started the game with four strikeouts in five innings of work. Jake Czember and Velichko each pitched an inning with the latter recording a strikeout. Monarchs The Medicine Hat Moose Monarchs had a pair of games Sunday against the Lethbridge Elks. They lost 7-6 in the first game before falling 10-0 in the second contest. In the first loss, a 10-inning affair, Dryden Pidlisney had three hits, adding an RBI and a run scored and Kaleb Bozek had two RBIs with a hit. Bozek started the game, recording four strikeouts in seven innings of work. Cade Moch worked 1.2 frames and Cole Carlson worked an out. Asha Frey pitched the final frame, with one strikeout. Pidlisney had two hits in the second loss Sunday, both Bozek and Pryce Velichko each recorded a hit. Ayden Anderson pitched 3.1 innings with a strikeout, Carlson recorded a punch-out in 1.2 innings of work. Knights The Medicine Hat Knights of Columbus Knights had a four-pack of road games this weekend, splitting the results. The opened the weekend with a 13-1 win Friday over the Glasgow Reds. Ethan Chenard had three RBIs and three runs scored, adding a hit. Both Liam Cunningham and Ryan Ziebart had a pair of RBIs with a hit and a run scored. Jayden Mook added three RBIs of his own, with a hit and a run scored. Ethan Bowey pitched all four innings, recording a strikeout. They lost their first game Saturday, falling 10-1 to the Glendive Blue Devils. Ziebart had two hits with an RBI, Chenard had a hit and a run scored. James Cole started the game on the mound, working 4.1 innings. Ty Meyer had an inning of work, with two strikeouts. Nixon Davis worked 1.2 frames with a strikeout. The Knights opened play Sunday with a 16-8 win over the Butte Miners. Chenard led the offence, recording seven RBIs with three hits, scoring once. Cole crossed the plate four times, so did Bowey, who added three hits, while both had an RBI. Kane Bishop added three RBIs with two runs scored and a hit. Mook worked 2.2 innings to start the game, Hudson Ma pitched two innings with two strikeouts and Dylan Nelson pitched the last 1.1 innings of the game. They dropped the last game of the weekend, falling 12-0 to the Gallatin Valley Outlaws. Cunningham and Isaac Stenhouse had the Knights’ lone hits. Ziebart started the game, recording a pair of strikeouts in 2.1 innings of work. Stenhouse pitched two innings, recording two strikeouts. Ryker Miller, Cunningham and Chenard combined for the last two innings of work, with Chenard recording two strikeouts. 29
