Trio of winners return from weekend boxing bouts

The Medicine Hat Boxing Club fought at a pair of events last weekend.

The local boxing club sent two fighters, Jacob Walne and Nate Vossler, to the Golden Gloves bout in Lacombe, and Asher Softic went State side, fighting in Odessa, Texas.

In Lacombe, Vossler defeated Ray Abdo from Kopas Saskatoon, and Walne defeated Brock Klimosko from Shadow Box Lacombe. Wayne was named the best junior boxer in the tournament.

Down in Texas, Softic defeated Carlos Majin from Midland Texas by second-round stoppage in the heavyweight division.
