Medicine Hat’s Rowynn Biffart raced in Edmonton last weekend against Canada’s best.
The 16-year-old Alberta Marlin Aquatic Club swimmer raced against 330 swimmers at the Speedo Canadian Swimming Open held in Edmonton on April 10-12.
She achieved four new best times in 13 races, also setting a AMAC Club recording in the 15-16-year-old 200m freestyle, finishing 23rd.
Biffart finished first in 200m freestyle swim off, eighth in 100m butterfly prelim and 100m butterfly final, 12th in 200m IM final, 13th in 50m freestyle final, 15th in 100m freestyle prelim, 16th in 100m freestyle final, 17th in 200m IM prelim, 18th in 50m breaststroke prelim, 19th in 50m freestyle prelim and 50m breaststroke final and 23rd in 50m butterfly prelim.
