Curling Centre hosts Ladies Bonspiel

The Medicine Hat Curling Centre saw 14 teams participate in the Ladies Bonspiel over the weekend.

The bonspiel ran Friday to Sunday, with the 14 teams competing in three event divisions.

Team Parahoniak won the ‘A’ event, with skip Suzette Parahoniak, third Nicole Stroh, second Darla Seitz and lead Tammy Mulder taking first place.

Team Taylor from Brooks won the ‘B’ event, featuring skip Emma Van Steekelenburg, third Brandi Williams, second Tina Taylor and lead Kim Isaac.

The ‘C’ event was won by Team Wilson, led by skip Andrea Wilson. Her team also featured third Sonia Biemans, second Donna Herman and lead Gail Syverson.

Next up at the Curling Centre, the last event of the season, is the strike and Sweep Bonspiel held March 28-29. It’s a weekend featuring a combination of bowling and curling, open to everyone.
