sports@medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews The South Alberta Hockey Academy U18 men’s team had a heartbreak finish to their CSSHL playoffs. SAHA lost in overtime in the semifinals, falling 4-3 Saturday to eventual champion RHA Kelowna. Brayden Ryan-MacKay and Gavin Lesiuk each had a goal and an assist in the semifinals, Tyne Lafournaise scored as well. Mattias Radke made 31 saves. They beat Yale Hockey Academy 5-4 in a shootout on Friday. Luke Ruptash scored twice, Avery Watson had a goal and an assist and Cash Olson scored a solomarker. Kannen Kirkwood started the game, making 16 saves through two periods. Radke took over for seven stops in the third period and overtime. Ty Hynes, Cole Fisher and William Scott scored in the shootout. SAHA won the second game of their championship tournament, winning 4-2 on Thursday over the Okanagan Hockey Academy. Ryan-MacKay had a pair of goals with an assist, Lesiuk had a goal and an assist and Fisher scored as well. Kirkwood made 40 stops. They kicked the tournament off with a 3-2 overtime loss on Wednesday to OHA Edmonton. Watson and Olson scored for SAHA, Radke made 31 saves. 12
