The Hounds lost in the South division semifinals Sunday, losing 3-2 to the Foothills Bisons. Easton Kurpjuweit and Nixon Kunkel each scored for the Hounds, Kayne Wright made 31 saves. They opened the weekend of regionals with a 4-0 win Thursday over the Wheatland Chiefs. Wright stopped all 22 shots he faced. Slate McFadzen scored twice, Kieran Wyrostok had a goal and two assist and Parker Kienzle had a goal and an assist. They beat the Lethbridge Hounds 3-1 later in the day. Wyrostok scored twice, Tate Bowal had a solo tally and Wright made 18 saves. The Hounds suffered the first loss of the weekend, falling 4-1 to the Okotoks Oilers. Bowal scored the lone goal, Wright made 53 saves. They wrapped play Saturday with a 4-1 win over the Taber Golden Suns. Mavric Ward, Jackson Brassard, Parker Kienzle and Wyrostok each scored in the win, Kolter Gans made 24 saves. U15 The U15AAA South East Athletic Club Tigers lost a pair of weekday playoff games. The Tigers had a best-of-three series with the Calgary Northstars, falling 12-0 on Wednesday and 8-3 on Friday. Jake Druar and Paxton Smigeslki split duties in net Wednesday, making a combined 38 saves. Smigelski made the start Friday, stopping 29 shots. Kovann Chisholm, Macen Ibach and Cole Siewert all scored for the Tigers. 17
