The Medicine Hat College Rattlers’ indoor track team raced in Lethbridge over the weekend.

The Rattlers had three podium finishes in both individual and relay events at the ACAC 3 Kodiak Open hosted on Saturday.

Maddie Scrimger led the way for the Rattlers with a silver medal run in the women’s 1500m. In what coach Bill Corcoran describes as a controversial finish, runners were made to run an additional 200m lap, where Scrimger placed second behind Lethbridge’s Hannah Pilling.

Bronze medal performances were recorded by the Rattler’s Women’s 4 x 400m squad and the Men’s 4 x 200 team.

Collectively, the Rattler women’s team placed fourth in team scoring, the Rattlers men were fifth. Lethbridge Polytechnic was the top school in both divisions.

Next up for the Rattlers is the ACAC Championships in Edmonton on March 15 and 16.
