MHC’s men’s team went undefeated with a pair of wins and a pair of ties. They beat the Ambrose Lions 8-2 on Saturday before tying the Olds College Broncos 3-3. On Sunday, they topped the SAIT Trojans 8-2 before tying the Red Deer Polytechnic 2-2. The Rattlers’ women’s futsal team picked up three wins. After a 5-1 loss to SAIT on Saturday, they responded with a 6-2 win over Olds College. They won both games Sunday, beating Ambrose 7-3 and topping Red Deer 4-3. No individual results were recorded in the game. The Rattlers’ men’s (4-0-2) and women’s (4-2) futsal teams are off until Feb. 22 and Feb. 23 for four games on the road. Basketball The Rattlers’ basketball teams were on the road over the weekend, taking on Briercrest College. Both the men’s and women’s game had a game postponed Friday. The men’s team lost 89-72 on Saturday to Briercrest. Cooper Ward had 25 points with 14 rebounds. Ethan Robinson had 17 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. MHC’s women’s team lost 60-50 on Saturday. Alexis Watkiss had 11 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. The Rattlers’ men’s (8-8) and women’s (6-10) basketball teams host the Olds College Broncos on Friday and Saturday. Volleyball MHC’s volleyball teams hosted Briercrest College at the Snake Pit for matches on Friday and Saturday. The Rattlers’ men’s team dropped both matches, falling in three sets Friday (18-25, 21-25, 16-25) and in three sets on Saturday (19-25, 25-27, 23-25). Jordan McKee had eight kills in Friday’s game, adding another 22 kills Saturday. MHC’s women’s team lost in five sets Friday (25-19, 21-25, 20-25, 25-21, 11-15), also falling Saturday in four sets (25-22, 11-25, 21-25, 18-25). Fayth Spencer and Brooklyn Tkachuk each had 12 kills in Friday’s game, Haylee Fleck had 11 kills as well. In Saturday’s match, Spencer had 13 kills. The Rattlers men’s (4-11) and women’s (2-13) volleyball teams are on the road this weekend to face Olds College. Hockey Medicine Hat College’s women’s hockey team hosted Olds College for two games this weekend. They lost 2-1 on Friday, Aivry Thomas scored the lone goal for MHC. Anna Stewart made 26 saves. They lost 4-3 in overtime on Saturday, forcing overtime with a penalty shot goal from Sage Nohr with two seconds left in the third. Jenna Schulli and Thomas scored for the Rattlers as well, Stewart made 23 saves. The Rattlers (2-17) are on the road this weekend for a pair of games at the NAIT Ooks. 24
