Waves Swim club wins three gold medals at Winter Festival

The Medicine Hat Waves Swim Club returned golden from Edmonton.

The local swim club sent four swimmers to the Winter Festival provincial swim meet in Edmonton on Friday to Sunday.

Isla Johnson (9), swimming in the para-swimming classification, won gold in the 50m Breaststroke, 50m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke. She also finished fourth in 100m breast and 100m Free.

Avery McDonald (11): Finished 12th in 100m Breast and 100m Free, 15th in 50m Free, 50m Breast and Girls 11 Y.O. 200m Breast, 23rd in 200m Free and 32nd in 50m Back.

Isabel Miller (11): Finished ninth in Girls 11 Y.O. 200m Breast, 12th in 50m Breast, 21st in 100m IM, 22nd in 50m Free, 24th in 100m Free and 34th in 50m Back.

Connor Tweten (11): Finished 22nd in Boys 11 year-old 200m Breast and 33rd in 400m Free.
