AMAC Swim Club races at UCSC Holiday Classic

The Alberta Marlin Aquatic Club had a second race in Calgary over the weekend.

The local swim club sent 18 swimmers to compete against six teams at the University of Calgary Swim Club’s Holiday Classic on Dec. 14-15.

Amelia Grisak (10): Had two new best times, finishing 12th in 50m breast timed final, 32nd in 100m back timed final, 40th in 100m IM timed final, 45th in 100m free timed final, 51st in 200m free timed final, 53rd in 50m free timed final and 100m breast timed final.

Estelle Grisak (13): Had two new best times, finishing first in 100m back prelim and 100m back final, fourth in 200m back timed final, sixth in 50m back final, seventh in 50m back prelim and 200m free prelim, 16th in 100m free prelim and 19th in 50m free prelim.

Abigail Holden (12): Finished 23rd in 100m free prelim.

Teagan Hollingworth (15): Had one new best time, finishing third in 100m back prelim, sixth in 400m free timed final, 11th in 200m free prelim, 15th in 50m fly prelim, 20th in 50m free prelim and 22nd in 100m free prelim.

Campbell Kletzel (10): Had two new best times, finishing fifth in 50m breast timed final, 12th in 100m breast timed final, 14th in 50m free timed final, 18th in 50m fly timed final, 20th in 100m back timed final, 21st in 100m IM timed final and 22nd in 100m free timed final.

Breagh Kohlman (13): Reached six new best times, finishing third in 200m IM prelim and 200m IM final, fourth in 100m fly prelim and 200m breast timed final, fifth in 100m fly final and 100m IM final, sixth in 100m IM prelim and 100m breast final, eighth in 100m breast prelim and 25th in 100m free prelim.

Kate Kotze (7): Had one new best time, finishing 33rd in 100m breast timed final, 40th in 50m breast timed final, 41st in 100m IM timed final and 47th in 100m free timed final.

Lillian Liebenberg (10): Had two new best times, finishing 24th in 100m back timed final, 34th in 100m free timed final and 100m IM timed final, 35th in 50m fly timed final and 50m breast timed final and 39th in 200m free timed final.

Isabelle McWilliams (10): Reached seven new best times, finishing 11th in 100m back timed finals, 14th in 200m IM timed finals, 16th in 100m IM timed finals, 23rd in 50m back timed finals, 29th in 200m free timed finals, 37th in 100m free timed finals, 39th in 100m breast timed finals and 43rd in 50m free timed finals.

Olivia McWilliams (11): Had five new best times, finishing second in 400m free timed final, third in 200m breast timed final, fourth in 100m back prelim and 100m back final, fifth in 200m back timed final, 200m IM final and 200m IM prelim and sixth in 50m back prelim and 50m back final.

Lucy Pattison (8): Had two new best times, finishing 23rd in 50m breast prelim, 26th in 100m back prelim, 36th in 100m IM prelim, 37th in 100m breast prelim, 41st in 200m free prelim, 44th in 100m free prelim, 47th in 50m free prelim and 48th in 50m back prelim.

Marsha Van Der Merwe (9): Had five new best times, finishing second in 50m breast prelim, third in 100m fly prelim, fifth in 100m breast prelim, ninth in 100m back prelim, 11th in 50m free prelim, 12th in 50m fly prelim and 100m IM prelim and 42nd in 50m back prelim.

Matthew Daley (17): Reached three new best times, finishing third in 100m breast prelim and 100m breast final, fourth in 50m breast prelim and 50m breast final, sixth in 50m free prelim, eighth in 50m free final, 10th in 50m fly prelim and 14th in 100m free prelim.

Benji Liebenberg (7): Had one new best time, finishing 23rd in 100m back timed final, 31st in 50m breast timed final, 41st in 100m free timed final and 43rd in 200m free timed final.

Ryes Pattison (10): Reached six new best times, finishing first in 50m breast timed final, eighth in 100m breast timed final, 12th in 100m back timed final and 200m IM timed final, 13th in 100m IM timed final, 22nd in 50m free timed final, 24th in 200m free timed final and 31st in 50m back timed final.

Izaak Smith (12): Had seven new best times, finishing third in 50m free prelim, fourth in 50m free prelim, 50m free final and 50m fly prelim, fifth in 50m fly final and 200m free prelim, sixth in 200m free final, seventh in 100m IM prelim, eighth in 100m IM final and 11th in 100m free prelim and 200m IM prelim.

Micah Smith (14): Had one new best time, finishing sixth in 200m IM prelim.

Next up for the AMAC Swim Club is the Pugsley’s Plunge, held in Calgary in January.
