SAHA’s U18 men’s team has picked up a point in nine-straight games, a trend that continued this weekend at the Big Marble Go Centre with a pair of extra-time losses and an overtime win. They opened the weekend with a 3-2 overtime loss to the Northern Alberta Xtreme on Friday. Luke Ruptash scored twice for SAHA in the loss, Mattias Radke made 34 saves. They faced NAX on Saturday, falling 3-2 in a shootout. Ty Krooshoop had a goal and an assist and Brayden Ryan-MacKay found twine with a solo marker. Radke made 47 stops. They finished the weekend with a 3-2 overtime win Sunday over RHA Winnipeg. SAHA had three different goal scorers, Cash Olson and Tyden Lafournaise each scored in regulation and Josiah Jackson scored the game winner 2:34 into overtime. Radke made 34 stops in the win. SAHA’s U18 men’s team (10-8-1-1) host Pilot Mound Academy on Dec. 9 at BMGC for a 9:30 a.m. contest. Women’s SAHA’s U18 women’s team had three home games over the weekend, sweeping the stretch. They kicked things off with a 4-3 win Friday over OHA Edmonton. Keyana Bert had a goal and an assist and all three of Sophie Erlam, Julie Barlow and Taylor Crocker each scored a goal. Hannah Palumbo made 34 saves. SAHA beat OHA Edmonton in a rematch Saturday, winning 4-3. Kamryn Reiber had two goals, Bert had a goal and two assists and Taye Barker scored a solo marker. Palumbo made 26 saves. They finished the weekend with a 6-3 win over OHA Edmonton. Barlow scored twice, Bert had two goals with an assist, and both Sara Stefanic and Erlam had a goal and an assist. Phoenix Buckler made 24 saves. SAHA’s women’s team (11-6-0-1) is on the road for three games this weekend. U17 SAHA’s U17 men’s team was on the road for a three-pack of games. They opened the weekend with a 2-1 overtime loss to RHA Winnipeg on Friday. Curtis Martin scored for SAHA, Remy Martins made 36 saves. They lost 4-2 in a rematch with RHA Winnipeg on Saturday. Noah Alexander had a goal and an assist, both Brennan Finke and Kade Jensen scored as well. Martins made 25 saves. They finished the weekend with a 5-3 win over Pilot Mound Academy on Sunday. Karter Kurpjuweit and Rhyder Arnold each had a goal and an assist, Owen Fisher, Carson Ward and Kutcher Aquila all scored. Martins made 31 saves. SAHA’s U17 me’s team (7-9) has a pair of road games this weekend. 24
