The Hounds lost 7-5 to the Bow Valley Timberwolves but bounced back with a 6-5 win Sunday over the Airdrie Lightning. Against Bow Valley, five Hounds recorded a goal and an assist. Ben Rocheleau, Diesel Bishop, Weston Haslbeck, Barit Bjelland and Beckham Sprunger each recorded two-point efforts. Blade Schreiner made 27 saves in the loss. Haslbeck led the efforts in the win Sunday, notching two goals with two assists. Bishop had a goal and an assist, as did Raylan Johnson and Haysten Biech had a goal. Dawson Ressler made 34 saves. The U13AA Hounds (7-2) are on the road for a pair of games this weekend. U15 The U15AA South East Athletic Club Tigers split their weekend on the road. They beat the Golden Suns 6-3 on Friday, falling 6-1 to the Bow Valley Timberwolves on Saturday. Cooper Danroth had two goals for the Tigers and Sylis Robins, Beckham Girletz, Maddox Mikkelson and Rhys Greggains each scored a goal in the win. Brayden Tschritter made 27 saves. In the loss Saturday, Danroth had SEAC’s lone goal. Hunter Munro made 30 saves. The U15AA Tigers (3-5-0-2) host the Foothills Bisons on Saturday and the Red Deer Chiefs on Sunday, both games at the Hockey Hounds arena. The U15AAA SEAC Tigers split their weekend. The Tigers beat the Calgary Royals 5-2 at home Saturday and lost 6-2 on the road Sunday to the Okotoks Oilers. Canaan Fleck had a goal and an assist in the win Saturday, Nelson Sonna Soufo had two helpers. Four skaters each recorded a goal in Kovann Chisholm, Chase Droeske, Rykert Scherger and Cole Siewert. Paxton Smigelski made 27 saves. Hudson Gross and Carter Jarvis scored for the Tigers in the loss, Jake Druar made 41 saves. The U15AAA SEAC Tigers (3-7) are on the road Friday for their final game ahead of the 51st annual Hockey Hounds tournament Nov. 14-17. U16 The U16AA Hounds lost a pair over the weekend. The lost 8-2 Saturday to the Bow Valley Timberwolves and 5-1 to the Okotoks Oilers on Sunday. In Saturday’s loss, Kian Lang and Jaxon Martin both scored for the Tigers, Trenton Wilson made 40 saves. Against Okotoks, Martin scored the lone Hounds’ goal and Connor Schmaltz made 29 stops. The U16AA Hounds (0-8) are on the road for a pair of games this weekend. U17 The U17AAA SEAC Tigers dropped a pair of home games on Saturday and Sunday. The Tigers lost 5-3 to the Calgary Northstars and 6-3 to the Calgary Royals. Nolan Peppler scored twice with an assist and Illya Khazov had a goal and an assist. Kayden Van Jam made 33 saves. In Sunday’s loss, Carter Allan had a goal and an assist and both Peppler and Mason Seibel each scored a goal. Carson Jerome and Van Ham split duties in net, making a combined 42 saves. The U17AAA SEAC Tigers (2-5-0-1) host the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Sunday at the Kinplex for their annual cancer awareness game. That game, at 2:15 p.m., will have a silent auction at the game as well as a raffle for a signed stick from the 2023-24 Medicine Hat Tigers and a signed jersey from the U17AAA SEAC Tigers team. They will be donning special jerseys for the game with special SEAC cancer awareness attire on sale. Also for sale that day will be bagged popcorn, caramel popcorn and jerky, everything but the kitchen sink to raise as much money as possible for the cancer centre. All funds raised will be donated to the Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre. U18 The U18AA Hounds picked up a point with a draw on Saturday, tying the Okotoks Oilers 4-4. They lost 4-1 to the NWCAA Bruins on Sunday. In Saturday’s tie, Randen Collier and Mavric Ward each had a goal and an assist and both Parker Kienzle and Kierwan Wyrostok had a goal. Kayne Wright made 30 saves. Kolter Gans made 36 saves in Sunday’s loss and Nixon Kunkel scored the Hounds’ lone goal. The U18AA Hounds (3-4-0-3) are on the road for a pair of games this weekend. 37
