The Mustangs won both contests against Calgary North West on Sunday, winning 6-2 and 10-1. Hannah Thompson had a hat trick in the first win. Mackenzie Tindall tallied a pair of goals and Kasey Martin had a single marker. In the second win, the Mustangs scored 48 seconds into the game off Sophie Kerr’s forechecking efforts. Thompson had four goals, Kerr finished with a hat trick and both Martin and Ryleigh Jackiw found twine. Kyree Stern-Rebmann stood tall in net for both games, picking up two wins. The next action for the U19 Mustangs is a pair of games on Friday at the Regina Elite A Tournament. U16 The U16 Mustangs had themselves a winning weekend, taking a pair of wins. They kicked things off with an 8-4 victory over Cochrane on Saturday. Margot Kerr scored a hat trick to lead the charge on offence and Sophia Smith was a wall in net with 48 saves. The Mustangs carried the momentum into a contest later in the day, beating Airdrie 7-5. Emma Pinnell stood tall in net for the win. Ravyn Lehr, Jayna Allchurch, Reese Tabor, Margot Kerr and Avi Velichko all scored in the win. The Mustangs faced Calgary South in a pair of games Sunday, splitting the day. They tied the first game 7-7 with each of Kerr, Allchurch, Tia Van Maarion, Lehr and Leighton Wright each tickling twine. Calgary won the second game Sunday, winning 7-5. Sloane Berstad, Allchurch, Kerr and Wright each scored. U10 The U10 Step 3 Mustangs kicked off their season on Saturday, hosting the Airdrie Sting for a doubleheader. The Mustangs started strong in the first game, trailing by just one after the half on goals from Charlie Lowe, Avery Fuller and Aphten Myram, with Lexxon Martinez standing tall in net. Jayla-Ray Klaudt added another goal in the second half, but they ultimately fell 9-4. The Mustangs tied the second game 4-4. Zoe Aarden took her turn in net, working a perfect first-half. Sloan Lohendorf scored twice and both Lowe and Klaudt scored as well. Over the two games, Lowe led in assists with four, while Myram and Lohendorf each added one. The Mustangs’ next game is on Nov. 8 in Airdrie. The U10 Step 2 Mustangs had two games on Saturday against Airdrie. They won the first game 14-11 with Laila Loehndorf netting five goals. Rozlyn Moch had three goals, Harper Fuller had a pair of tallies and Gabriella O Reilly, Ayva Bebee, Ridley Trotter and Hailee Kopek each potting a solo tally. The two teams tied 7-7 in the second contest. Moch had three goals and all four of Gabriella O Reilly, Kopek, Fuller and Loehndorf scored. Nora Dunn and Lily Steiner split duties in net for both games. 26
