Medicine Hat Tigers forward Hunter St. Martin was drafted in the sixth round, 193rd overall by the Florida Panthers on the second day of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft on June 29.
A second Medicine Hat Tigers forward has signed with an NHL club.
The Florida Panthers announced Friday morning the signing of 19-year-old Hunter St. Martin to a three year, entry level contract.
St. Martin was selected by Florida in the sixth round, 193rd overall, of the 2024 NHL Draft. He attended the Panthers’ development camp in the summer, rookie camp in the fall and had an extended stay with the club’s training camp.
He sits fifth in team scoring, totalling seven goals and eight points in eight games entering play Friday. The Edmonton product has suited up in 152 games in the orange and black, scoring 39 goals with 82 points. He was a sixth round, 124th overall pick of the Tigers’ in the 2020 WHL draft.
St. Martin joins forward Andrew Basha as the second signed NHL prospect on the Tigers’ roster. Basha signed his three year, entry level contract with the Calgary Flames on Sept. 29.
