Valk in 4th ahead of final round at college nationals

Rattler golfer Michael Valk has his work ahead of him heading into the final round at nationals.

The Medicine Hat College athlete shot a 74 Thursday, putting him in fourth after three rounds at the CCAA finals held in Etobicoke, Ont. He is eight strokes back of the leader, Zach Pageau of Cégep André-Laurendeau.

Other Rattlers third-round results: Rylan Hodgson (42nd, 80), Jace Shannon (47th, 85), Keelan Burzminski (T48th, 86) and Rylan Montgomery (T48, 96).

On the women’s side, Kirara Ressor is 15th (103) and Taryn Sanderson is tied for 16th after shooting a 99.

The tournament wraps up today.
