The Rattlers men’s and women’s soccer teams had a difficult weekend on the road.

The men’s team lost both games, falling 4-1 to the Olds College Broncos on Saturday and 3-0 to the Red Deer Polytechnic on Sunday.

Erik Amberson scored for MHC on Saturday, Stefan Vrska made seven saves. Against Red Deer on Sunday, Vrska made one save.

The Rattlers men’s (3-3-2) and women’s (3-5-2) wrap up the regular season this weekend, facing the SAIT Trojans on the road Saturday and the Lethbridge Kodiaks at home on Sunday.

Golf

Seven members of the Rattlers’ golf team are at the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association championship this week at Humber College in Etobicoke, Ont.

The Rattlers men’s golf team of Michael Valk, Rylan Hodgson, Rylan Montgomery, Keelan Burzminski and Jace Shannon, and two women’s golfers, Kiara Reesor and Taryn Sanderson, will compete against the top college golfers in the country.

Play gets underway today with the tournament wrapping up Friday afternoon. Medicine Hat’s Valk is looking for redemption, taking second place at last year’s CCAA championship. He enters the week off back-to-back ACAC championships and the ACAC male golfer of the year award.
