The Thunder played seven games at the Westerns hosted in Irma this weekend, finishing with a 1-6 record. They played two games on Thursday, falling 10-2 to the Irma Tigers and 11-4 to the Lakeland Blaze. Raquel Snideman had two hits with an RBI and a run scored in the loss to Irma, with Madi Perry adding a run scored with a run. Albany Mastel started the game, working four innings with three strikeouts. Abby Mihal pitched the last inning. Against Lakeland, Perry tallied a run scored and an RBI. The Thunder picked up the lone win of the weekend Friday morning, beating the Manitoba Phillies 5-4. Mastel worked a complete game on the mound, with four punch-outs in seven innings pitched. They lost the second game Friday, falling 14-8 to the Battleford Bandits. No stats were reported from the game. The Thunder had two games Saturday, falling 8-1 to the Xtreme 05 and 12-0 to the Vancouver Wildcats to finish the weekend. Snideman had three hits against the Xtreme and Harvey-Zenk tallied a hit with an RBI. Mastel worked 5.1 innings, with a strikeout in the game. Mihal had the Thunder’s lone hit in the loss to Vancouver. She also pitched three innings in the game, recording a strikeout. Mastel finished the game on the mound. 13
