The Medicine Hat U11 Thunder Red returned from weekend action with a provincial gold.
The Thunder won three of the four games on their weekend slate. Their lone loss game in the first game, falling 15-0 to the Herbert Adrenaline on Saturday.
The Thunder had no hits in the loss. Julie G started the game on the mound, working two punch-outs in 1.1 innings on the mound. Trinity R worked an out on the bump (no last names provided).
The Thunder bounced back with an 11-5 win over the Irma Tigers later in the day.
Harper N had two hits with two RBIs and a run scored, and Finley K had three hits with an RBI. Madison B recorded two runs scored with a hit. No pitching statistics were recorded.
The Thunder carried momentum into Sunday, with an 8-6 win over the Camrose Crossfire Red.
Alexis M had two RBIs on a hit with a run scored, and both Madison B and Harlo G tallied two runs scored with a hit each.
Madison B started the game on the mound, recording two punch-outs in two innings of work. Harlo G pitched the last three innings of the game, with seven strikeouts.
They captured gold with an 11-7 win over the Leduc Jets.

They kicked things off with a 16-10 win Saturday over the Beaumont Blitz Selects.
Both Elisabeth Switzer and Emily Gergely had two hits with two runs scored and an RBI and J Varner tallied two RBIs on two hits and a run scored.
Casey Ristau started the game and worked six punch-outs in two innings on the mound, and Leighton Moon pitched the last inning of the game with three strikeouts.
They lost the second game of the weekend, with a 20-11 loss to the Blackfalds Pirates.
Kyler Geddes-Martin led the offence with fours RBIs on a hit and a run scored, and both Moon and Harlyn Schimpf had two runs scored and a hit.
Schimpf started the contest with two strikeouts in 1.1 innings pitched. Geddes-Martin had tow strikeouts in an inning of work and Moon finished the game with two punch-outs in an inning on the mound.
They bounced back with a win Sunday, beating the Lacombe Matrix 22-16.
Ristau had three RBIs on two hits and two runs scored and Switzer added two runs scored , two RBIs and two hits.
Ella Munro started the game, working 1.2 innings with four strikeouts and Moon pitched 1.2 frames with three punch-outs.
They finished with bronze after a 19-11 loss to the St. Albert Angels to finish the weekend.
Munro had three RBIs on two hits and two runs scored, and Switzer had two runs scored on two hits with an RBI.
Geddes-Martin started the game and worked two outs before Schimpf took over and pitched the final inning with a strikeout.

The Medicine Hat U17 Thunder picked up a win in their provincials weekend.
They lost their first game, falling 10-9 to the U17A Storm on Friday.
Adriene Campbell led the offence with three hits, five RBIs and two runs scored. Mackenzie Tindall added two RBIs and two runs scored with a hit.
Campbell started the contest on the mound, working 4.2 innings with eight strikeouts. Maia Petersen worked the final two innings of the game.
The Thunder won their second game Friday, beating the Camrose Crossfire 7-6.
Sydney Thompson had three RBIs with two hits and a run scored, and Clara Butterfield had two hits with an RBI.
Petersen started the game on the mound, recording three strikeouts in four innings pitched. Campbell finished the game on the mound, with three strikeouts in three innings.
They lost the first game Saturday, falling 9-2 to the Storm.
