The Medicine Hat Boxing Club was in action at two events last weekend.
The local club sent two boxers to Regina on Friday at the Battle of the Prairies.
Nate Vossler boxed Jose Lopez from North Dakota and lost a close match, coach Kerry Fahlman says. Lopez went on to win the best boxer award.
Jacob Walne boxed Yehor Marchenko from Winnipeg and won, giving up age and experience but battling to get the win.
Saturday the club travelled to Calgary to Impact Boxing. Asher Softic stopped Ivan Stulov from Impact in the second round.
The Medicine Hat Boxing Club is hosting a fundraiser event Saturday in Irvine, with an Alberta vs. Saskatchewan bout.
