The local club had 93 athletes compete at the meet, with five gymnastics clubs from across Alberta represented. The competition comprised of four exercises, vault, balance beam, uneven bars and floor. Salta had 27 athletes compete in each of the exercises winning a total of 24 medals, 10 gold, seven silver and seven bronze. Chelsia Cooper competed for the first time as a CCP Level 8 category athlete and was awarded first place in all four exercises, earning her first place all-around champion for the category. Brynnley Gertner earned her spot on the podium by finishing first in each of the uneven bars and balance beam exercises. She was also awarded second place in the vault exercise and third place in the floor routine. Gertner received the first place all-around champion award for the CCP Level 6 category. Camryn Kingsley shared the podium with Gertner by securing the second place all-around champion award for the CCP Level 6 category. She finished second in the uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercises. Adriana Mealey rounded out the CCP Level 6 category awards with her third place finish in the uneven bars exercise. Rocio Figueroa was awarded third place in the vault exercise for the CCP Level 3 category. Kyra Erker finished second place in the vault and uneven bars exercises and third place in the balance beam and floor exercises. She earned a third place all-around champion award for the Xcel Gold category. The last two medals were awarded in the Xcel Silver category. Harper Lang was awarded first place in the floor routine and Leah Christensen was awarded third place in the uneven bars. Other notable mentions include: CCP Level 6 all around: Alexis Hayward finished fourth, Adriana Mealey finished fifth, Kapri Wirth took sixth place, Kenzie Christensen came in seventh and Skylar Berner finished eighth. Willow Chant finished seventh all around in the CCP Level 3. CCP Level 2: Annelise Marku finished seventh all around and Maya Barnes finished ninth. Xcel Silver all around: Sienna Watson: seventh place; Harper Lang: eighth place; Leah Christensen: ninth place; Deklyn Cook: 11th place; Aliyah Mitchell: 12th place; Isla Studer: 14th place; Peyton Nikiel: 17th place; Kylie Otterson: 18th place and Ashlyn Adams: 19th place. Xcel Bronze all around: Emery Hirsch: seventh place; Maggie Teare: 11th place; Macie Britton: 12th place; Tayla Heard: 14th place; Vanessa Lonson: 15th place; Hazel Allen: 16th place and Symphony Silver: 17th place. SALTA Gymnastics athletes are preparing for multiple competitions, in April and May, throughout the province. 20
