Twist and Flip Gymnastics competes in Airdrie over weekend

Medicine Hat’s Twist and Flip Gymnastics club showcased their skills at the Gymnastics on the Edge 2024 competition in Airdrie this weekend.

The local gymnastics club was represented by six athletes at the meet hosted by Airdrie Edge Gymnastics Club on Sunday.

Twist and Flip’s women’s provincial Level 2 athletes were Brooke Moreton (8) and Andi Luscombe (9).

Moreton finished first All-Around and received gold on Floor, Beam, Uneven Bars and on Vault.

Luscombe received a silver All-Around and received fold on Vault, a silver on Beam and Bars and a bronze on Floor.

Their girls provincial Level 3 athletes were Myla Aberle (9) and Sophia Calhoun (9).

Calhoun finished first All-Around and placed first on Beam, second on Uneven Bars and third on Floor and Vault.

Aberle finished second All-Around and placed first on Floor, third on Beam and Uneven Bars and ninth on Vault.

The women’s provincial Level 4 athletes were Tenley Aberle (11) and Lauren Pancoast (11).

Tenley Aberle finished first All-Around and placed first on Uneven Bars, second on Floor, and tied for fourth on Vault and Beam.

Pancoast finished second All-Around and placed second on Uneven Bars, third on Beam and Floor and tied for fifth on Vault.

As a group, Twist and Flip Gymnastics came home with 18 medals and 12 ribbons.
