The local gymnastics club sent nine athletes to the Ed Vincent Invitational in Calgary hosted by Altadore Gymnastics Club this weekend, returning with a total of 14 Medals and 33 Ribbons. Ian Mwaura (10) and Isaac Mwaura (8) represented the club in the men’s provincial Level 1 groups in their age categories. Ian was fourth All-around, placing third on parallel bars and high bar, fourth on pommel horse, fifth on floor and rings and eighth on the vault. Isaac was fifth all-around, placing first on floor, second on rings and high bar, and fourth on pommel horse, vault and parallel bars. Lukas Young (12) competed for the first time in the men’s provincial level 3 category. He was eighth all-around and finished third on high bar, sixth place pommel horse, seventh on floor, eighth on rings and parallel bars and ninth on vault. Twist and Flip’s women’s provincial Level 2 athletes were Brooke Moreton (7) and Arianna Mori (7). Mori finished eighth all-around, placing fifth on beam, seventh on uneven bars, 13th on floor and 15th on vault. Moreton finished 11th all-around and placed seventh on floor, eighth on beam, 13th on uneven bars and 27th on vault. Their women’s provincial Level 3 athletes were Myla Aberle (9) and Sophia Calhoun (8). Aberle finished fifth all-around and placed second on beam, fifth on floor, sixth on uneven bars and ninth on vault. Calhoun finished sixth all-around, finishing second on floor, sixth on beam, seventh on uneven bars and ninth on vault. The women’s provincial Level 4 athletes were Tenley Aberle (10) and Lauren Pancoast (10). Pancoast finished second all-around, placing second on uneven bars, third on floor, fourth on beam and eighth on vault. Tenley finished seventh all-around, with a second place on floor, eighth on vault and uneven bars and ninth on beam. 15
