sports@medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews The Medicine Hat U18AA Hounds got it done over the weekend. The Hounds won their lone game on the weekend, beating the Foothills Bisons 6-3 Saturday. Jaxon Scrivener had two goals and all three of Treyson Girletz, Everett Liefso and Wyatt Bower had a goal and an assist in the win. Blake Dosenberger had two assists and Nolen Sutherland recorded a solo marker. Adam Ranger made 18 saves. The U18AA Hounds (7-15-5) have one game this weekend, hosting the CNHA Gold on Saturday. U17 The U17AAA South East Athletic Club Tigers had two games, picking up three of a possible four points over the weekend. They opened the slate with a 4-3 victory Saturday over the Calgary Bulls. Grady Ford, Colby Motz, Elijah Fleck and Karter Kurpjuweit each scored for the Tigers, and Kayne Wright made 26 saves. SEAC picked up a point in a 3-2 overtime loss Sunday to the Calgary Northstars. Colby Gulliver and Davin Torgerson each scored for SEAC. The U17AAA Tigers (13-11-1) host the St. Albert Raiders Flyers on Friday and are in Calgary on Saturday to face the Bulls. U16 The U16AA Hounds had two games over the weekend, a 3-0 shutout loss to the Red Deer TBS on Saturday and a 9-4 defeat Sunday to the Wheatland Raiders. Kayden Van Ham made 46 saves in the Hounds’ loss Saturday. In Sunday’s game, Grady Brost turned aside 56 shots and Brody Dick led the offence with two goals. Griffin Aadland had a goal and an assist and Jackson Brassard also found the back of the net. The U16AA Hounds (5-20-2) have one road game over the weekend. U15 The U15AA SEAC Tigers had a busy weekend, picking up a win in one of their three games. They opened the weekend with a 4-1 loss Friday to the St. Albert Raiders Sabres. Ethan Grad scored for SEAC and Sasha Shushkov made 43 saves. The Tigers won 5-3 Saturday over the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers, led by Illya Khazov’s two goals. Carson Ward had a goal with two assists, both Lucas Fisher and Owen Fisher found the back of the net and Paxton Smigelski made 37 saves. SEC lost their final game of the week, falling 6-3 Sunday to the Golden Arrow Storm. Arlo Heal, Nixon Davis and Vann Boiteau each scored and Shushkov made 20 saves. The U15AA Tigers (7-16-2-1) host the Parkland Saints on Friday before heading to Calgary to face the Bisons on Sunday. The U15AA Tigers had two games over the weekend, falling 7-1 to the Airdrie Lightning on Saturday before picking up a 5-3 win Sunday over the Wheatland Warriors. Dane Friedt scored in the Tigers loss Saturday with Jake Druar making 47 saves. Creed Geekie led the offence in Sunday’s win over the Warriors, recording a hat trick. Cooper Craven had a goal and an assist and Friedt found the back of the net as well. Both Maesen Nelson and Chase Murphy recorded two helpers and Conner Aldag made 52 saves. The U15AA SEAC Tigers (13-13-3) Hot the East Kootenay Avalanche on Friday. U13 The U13AA Hounds had one game over the weekend, a 5-5 tie against the Airdrie Lightning. Carter Jarvis and Kovann Chisholm each had a goal and two assists. Macen Ibach and Lincoln Bensler had a goal and an assist and Lincoln Steinkey found the back of the net as well. Colson Neigum made 29 saves in the tie. The U13AA Hounds (17-8-3) host the Red Deer Wesco on Saturday for their only game of the weekend. 33
