After winning their first two games of a four-day, four-game showcase, SAHA split their remaining two games in British Columbia. They won 5-2 Thursday over St. George’s School and 5-0 over the Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy on Friday. Their first loss of the weekend came Saturday, a 4-2 defeat to the Northern Alberta Xtreme White. Garrison Peck and Slade McFadzen scored for SAHA, with Steven Wawryk making 38 saves. They finished the weekend on a winning note, beating the Indigenous Sports Academy by a score of 6-1. Cole Fisher had a goal and two assists and both of Jack Elliot and Theron Bensler had a goal and an assist. Ty Wasyluk, Kingston Chisholm and Koen Gauthier each had a goal in the win, Wawryk made 24 saves. SAHA’s U17 team has two games this weekend, with a two-game set on the road Saturday and Sunday against the Edge School Gold. The SAHA U18 men’s team had one game over the weekend, a 6-4 win Saturday over the Calgary International Hockey Academy. Brayden Ryan-MacKay had two goals and an assist and Carter Cunningham had a goal with two assists. Hudson Gainer had a goal and an assist and both Cohen Carter and Drew Williamson had a goal, Josh Evaschesen had four helpers. Mattias Raske made 40 saves. SAHA’s U18 men’s team (10-7-1) is on the road this weekend, facing Edge School on Friday and Calgary International HA on Saturday. SAHA’s U18 women’s team had only one game over the weekend, a 3-1 loss Sunday against the Edge school. Kamryn Reiber scored the lone SAHA goal, and Taylor Cohen made 15 saves. SAHA’s women’s team (10-8) is on the road Saturday to face Edge. 14
