The Rattlers swept their weekend against the Olds College Broncos to put two tallies in the win column, with a 82-61 victory Friday and a 75-42 win on Saturday. Breanna O’Connor had 26 points, seven assists and six rebounds in Friday’s win. Brynn Bremner had 17 points and seven rebounds and Jordyn Knights tallied 14 points. In Saturday’s win, O’Connor led the way again with 20 points. Knight led the assist count with seven while putting up 10 points and Jaida Gold had eight rebounds with 12 points. MHC’s men’s basketball team was also in Olds over the weekend, splitting their slate with a 96-84 loss Friday followed up with a 87-80 win on Saturday. Fred Kabore and Cooper Ward each had 19 points and six rebounds in Friday’s loss, Jordan Biggar and Race Archuleta both recorded double doubles. Bigger had 13 points and 10 rebounds, Archuleta tallied 11 points with 11 rebounds. In Saturday’s win, a rounded offence saw five players record double digit points. Kabore had 10 points with 12 rebounds for a double double. The Rattlers women (2-10) and men (2-10) are at home for a two-game set Friday and Saturday, hosting the Red Deer Polytechnic. Futsal The Rattlers men’s and women’s futsal teams kicked off their ACAC seasons with four games at Prairie College in Three Hills. The men’s team went undefeated, winning twice and recording two ties. They beat Olds College 5-4 on Friday before tying the Ambrose University Lions 4-4 later in the day. A 16-0 shutout of Prairie College kicked off play Saturday that ended with a 3-3 tie against the SAIT Trojans. The Rattlers women’s team was also in action, with two wins and two losses. They swept their slate Friday, beating Ambrose 12-0 and Prairie College 12-1. Saturday saw different results, with a 6-1 loss to SAIT and 5-1 loss to Ambrose. None of the games had goal scorers recorded. The Rattlers men’s (2-0-2) and women’s (2-2) futsal teams have one match each this weekend, hosting the Lethbridge Kodiaks on Saturday. 19
