sports@medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews The Medicine Hat U16AA Hounds made the most of their only game this weekend. The Hounds beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-3 on Sunday at the Kinplex. Both Ethan Hall and Mavric Ward had a goal and three assists. Jon Jackle had a goal and an assist and both Brody Dick and Griffin Aadland tallied a goal each. Kayden Van Ham made 47 saves for the win. The Hounds (5-15-2) also have only one game this weekend, hosting the CRAA Gold Sunday at the Kinplex. U18 The U18AA Hounds split their two games this weekend. The Hounds lost 8-3 Saturday to the Golden Suns before beating the Lethbridge Hurricanes 7-2 on Sunday. Nolen Sutherland scored twice Saturday and Blake Dosenberger added a goal of his own in the loss. Adam Ranger made 33 saves. In Sunday’s win, four Hounds registered two points each. Treyson Girletz had two goals, and all three off JR Howe (AP), Benjamin Foss and Sutherland had a goal and an assist. Everett Liefso had two helpers and both of Kian Green and Jaxon Scrivener had a goal each. Parker McLaughlin made 20 saves in the win. The U18 Hounds (5-14-4) host the Golden Suns on Saturday in their only game of the weekend. U17 The U17AAA South East Athletic Club Tigers lost their only game of the weekend. They lost 8-3 to the Airdrie Avalanche on Sunday. They were supposed to play Saturday but the game was postponed. Colby Gulliver scored all of the Tigers’ goals, for his first hat trick of the season. Kolter Gans and Kayne Wright split duties in net, combining for 21 saves. The U17AAA Tigers (11-10) will host the Parkland Saints on Friday before facing the Okotoks Oilers on the road Saturday. U15 The U15AAA SEAC Tigers went undefeated over the weekend. They tied the Calgary Bisons 2-2 Saturday and beat the Maple Leaf Scott Pump 9-5 on Sunday. Illya Khazov and Madden Wright scored for SEAC in the draw, Sasha Shushkov made 33 saves. In Sunday’s win, Carter Gilchrist had a goal and two assists and Vann Boiteau had three helpers leading the offence. Liam Green, Carson Ward and Lucas Fisher each had two goals and both Nixon Davis and Wright had a goal. Paxton Smigelski made 20 saves. The U15AAA Tigers (6-12-2-1) are off until Jan. 27. U13 The U13AA Hounds swept their weekend against the Okotoks Oilers, with a 6-3 win Saturday and a 7-4 victory Sunday. Carter Jarvis scored three times Saturday, with Lincoln Bensler adding a goal and two assists. Diesel Bishop and Lincoln Steinkey each had a goal and an assist and Michael Fauth had two helpers. Colson Neigum made 20 saves. In Sunday’s win, Jarvis added another three goals for his second hat trick of the weekend and sixth of the season. Macen Ibach had two goals, Kovann Chisholm had a goal and an assist and Bihsop added a solo marker. Cooper Danroth had two helpers, Hunter Munro made 23 saves. The U13 Hounds (16-7-2) host the East Kootenay Avalanche for a set of games on Saturday and Sunday. 28
