The Hounds won all three games over the weekend, opening with a 5-3 win Friday afternoon over the West Central Tigers. Cooper Danroth had two goals, Diesel Bishop and Michael Fauth each added a goal and an assist and Lincoln Bensler had a goal in the win. Colson Neigum made 19 saves. They continued momentum into Saturday, beating the Central Alberta Selects 8-3 in the morning. Carter Jarvis chipped in five points (3G, 2A) with Kovann Chisholm adding a goal and an assist. Hudson Gilchrist, Lincoln Steinkey, Nash Davis and Fletcher Aadland each had a goal. Hunter Munro made 18 saves. The Hounds finished their weekend with a 6-3 win Saturday over the Red Deer Wesco. Davis had a goal and two assists, Bishop potted two goals and both Macen Ibach and Jarvis had a goal and an assist. Bensler added a goal as well. Neigum made 41 saves in net. The U13AA Hounds (10-3-1) have two road games this weekend. U15 The U15AAA South East Athletic Club Tigers won their lone game of the weekend, a 5-4 overtime victory Friday over the Lethbridge Val Matteoti Golden Hawks. Carson Ward had two goals and two assists, including the OT winner. Rhyder Arnold, Grayson Biegel and Iilya Khazov each scored a goal and Alexander Shushkov made 29 saves. The U15AAA Tigers (2-7-0-1) get set for the 50th annual Hockey Hounds tournament, which gets underway Thursday. The U15AA SEAC Tigers took one of their three weekend contests. They lost 3-2 Friday against the Red Deer Steel Kings. Chase Droeske and Chase Murphy scored for Medicine Hat with Conner Aldag making 29 saves. They beat the West Central Tigers 7-2 later Friday. Dane Friedt had two goals and an assist and Cole Siewert scored a goal with two assists. Cooper Craven had a goal and an assist and Maecen Nelson, Jaxon Martin and Brogan Verishine each scored a goal. Jake Druar made 15 saves. The Tigers dropped their final game of the weekend, falling 12-9 on Saturday against the Central Alberta Selects. Gavin Perry had a goal with two assists and Craven found the back of the net twice. All three of Siewert, Alexzander Schabler and Friedt had a goal and an assist. Droeske, Martin and Verishine added a goal each and both Aldan and Druar split duties in net, combining for 39 saves. The U15AA Tigers (7-5-1) are on the road Friday before hosting the Golden Suns on Saturday. U17 The U17AAA SEAC Tigers split their two-game weekend. The Tigers beat the Calgary Royals 4-1 on Friday and lost 2-1 against the Airdrie Avalanche on Sunday. Colby Gulliver had a goal and an assist, and each of Grady Ford, Treyden Kleinknecht and Nixon Kunkel added a goal. Kayne Wright made 24 saves in the win. Kolter Gans made 44 saves in Sunday’s loss, with Ford scoring Medicine Hat’s lone goal. The U17AAA Tigers (6-5) are on the road Saturday before they host the Red Deer North Star Chiefs on Sunday for their cancer awareness game. U18 The Medicine Hat U18AA Hounds dropped their weekend slate, falling in all three games. The Hounds lost 7-1 Saturday morning against the Red Deer Elks. Nolan Sutherland scored Medicine Hat’s lone goal and both Parker McLaughlin and Adam Ranger split duties in net, combining for 41 saves. The Hounds also lost 7-1 later Saturday, falling against the Olds Grizzlys. Grady Hudec found the back of the net and Ranger made 24 saves. They ended the weekend with a 5-4 loss Sunday against the West Central Tigers. The statistics of that game were not posted. The Hounds (3-6-2) are on the road for two games this weekend. 27
