The soccer club won their final regular season game of the fall, beating the Lethbridge College Kodiaks 4-2 on Sunday. Tata Mugisha scored three first-half goals to put Medicine Hat College ahead 3-1, and De’Shaunt Gelinas-Ca also found the back of the net for the 4-2 final. Maksymilian Slaweta made six saves in goal. Before that victory, the Rattlers lost 1-0 against the SAIT Trojans on Saturday. Slaweta made three saves in that loss and the Rattlers had three shots. The women’s soccer team dropped both games over the weekend, falling 2-1 against SAIT on Saturday and 2-1 Sunday against Lethbridge College. Maisa Rebello scored and Abby Lalach made nine saves in Saturday’s loss. Keandra Leslie found the back of the net Sunday and Lalach made 12 saves. Neither the men (3-5-2) nor women (4-7-1) qualified for the ACAC playoffs. Basketball The Rattlers men’s basketball team picked up their first win, splitting a weekend slate. They lost 106-80 Friday night against the St. Mary’s University Lightning before beating them 93-88 on the road Saturday. Jordan Biggar led the college in scoring Friday at the Snake Pit, putting up 21 points and 11 rebounds in the loss. Saturday’s win came on the back of Kieran Isnor’s 31 points and eight rebounds. Medicine Hat College’s women’s basketball team dropped both their games, falling 87-62 Friday and 90-60 on Saturday. Breanna O’Connor was the offensive leader Friday, with 16 points, six rebounds and five steals. Jaida Gold dropped 15 points in Saturday’s loss, adding six rebounds, three assists and three steals to her stat line. The men (1-2) and women (0-3) face off against Briercrest College, hosting the Clippers on Friday before hitting the road on Saturday. 15
