Rattlers Michael Valk finishes second at CCAA golf nationals

Medicine Hat College golfer Michael Valk is bringing home a medal from nationals.
The Rattler shot a final round 73 for a four-day overall score of -3, putting him in second place of the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association national tournament held at Champlain St. Lawrence, Que.
Valk held first place for the first two days of action before a third-round score of 78 put him in second. Felix Bouchard of André Laurendeau, a college in Montreal, was the champion.
On the women’s side, Libby Bourassa finished as the top Rattler with a +60 overall, putting her 13th. Her final round was an 89. Taryn Sanderson finished her season with a final round of 98, for a cumulative score of +96, which was good enough for 18th place.
