The Medicine Hat Bowling Club awarded its ladies league champion Monday night.
The local bowling club held the finals for ladies league with first-year lawn bowler Janette Starling defeating Barb Moll 10-9 to win her first ladies championship.
In the bronze medal game, Yvonne Sanregret defeated Joyce-Ann Bacon 13-8 to take third place.
The men played their semifinals as well on Monday and Mike Gilchrist face off against last year’s champion, Curt Moll in the men’s final.
First-year lawn bowler Cave Starling will face Doug Sanregret for the bronze.
The men’s finals go Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m.
