The Medicine Hat U15 EBT Aces won the Tier 4 provincial championship over the weekend at Sherwood Park, beating the Olds Spitfires 11-0 on Sunday.

The Medicine Hat EBT U15 Aces capped off their season on a high note this weekend.
The Aces rode an undefeated weekend to winning the Tier 4 provincial championship tournament held at Sherwood Park. They finished their season on a 15-game winning streak, putting them at 30-11-1 on the season.
They took the championships final in shutout fashion, beating the Olds Spitfires 11-0. Owen Fisher had two RBIs, and both Jayden Mook and Nixon Davis added an RBI on two hits and scored two runs. Ryker Miller pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts in five innings of work.
The Aces opened their tournament with a 10-3 win over the Sylvan Lake Mariners on Friday. Ethan Grad led the offence with two RBIs on two hits while also scoring a run. Jayden Mook started the game and pitched 3.1 innings with two strikeouts. Aaron Recio worked the remaining 3.2 innings with six strikeouts.
Medicine Hat carried the momentum into their first game Saturday, beating the Sherwood Park A’s 12-9. Jude Martin drove in two RBIs on two hits and crossed the plate twice himself. Dylan Nelson was on the bump first for the Aces and recorded six strikeouts in his 4.2 innings of work. Nixon Davis worked an inning with a strikeout. Ethan Bowey pitched the final 1.1 innings.
The Aces ended play Saturday with a 13-10 win over the Olds Spitfires. Fisher collected three hits and scored three times while notching two RBIs. Bowey started the contest and recorded five strikeouts in his 4.2 innings pitched. Ryker Miller pitched the remaining 2.1 innings with three strikeouts.
They opened up the final day of tournament action with a 13-3 win over the Calgary City Royals, punching a ticket to the finals. Martin had three RBIs, three hits and a run scored and Grad added four RBIs on four hits with two runs scored. Mook pitched a complete game for the Aces, striking out three batters in his five innings of work.
Majestics
The U15 Majestics were also in action over the weekend, with a four-game set against the Lethbridge PBA Bulls. They opened their weekend with a 6-3 loss on Saturday. Dane Brooks had an RBI on two hits and Kane Bishop added three hits. Ayden Anderson started the game and recorded two strikeouts in his 4.1 innings of work. Ryan Ziebart and Ty Meyer worked the remaining 2.2 innings of the game, recording one strikeout.
The Majestics dropped their second game Saturday, falling 7-3. Andersen had an RBI on one hit. Riley Tweten started the game and recored seven strikeouts in five innings pitched. Liam Cunningham worked the remaining two innings of the game.
They opened Sunday’s action with a 7-7 tie against the Bulls. Dane Brooks recorded two RBIs on one hit with a run scored. Ziebart also drove in two RBIs on a hit. Josh Rolheiser started the game and struck out four batters in his four innings of work. Mason Heintz pitched the final three innings, also striking out four.
The Majestics wrapped up the weekend with a win, beating Lethbridge 12-11. Bishop knocked in two RBIs with two hits and a run scored in the victory. Meyer started the contest and had five strikeouts in his three innings of work. Cunningham pitched 1.1 innings with a strikeout and Ziebart recorded the final two outs of the fifth inning with a punch-out. Brooks worked a scoreless sixth inning, recording a strikeout, and Bennet Anderson worked the seventh inning.
The Majestics (34-14-1) are at provincials this weekend at Lethbridge.
