The Medicine Hat Cubs new logo unveiled Friday ahead of their 50th season of play in the city.

The Medicine Hat Cubs will be celebrating a monumental season with a fresh look.
The local Heritage Junior Hockey League club announced Friday a new logo ahead of its 50th season starting this fall. The logo features a hockey stick from beneath the ‘U’ to the end of the name.
The Cubs name logo is also a change from the animated Cubs face ‘biting’ the namesake. Friday’s announcement marks the second change of the Cubs look in four seasons, as they switched from a blue colour scheme to their current orange and black in 2019.
The Cubs also announced the new logo will be be part of newly redesigned jerseys they will be wearing this season.
A date of unveiling for those new jerseys has yet to be announced, but was teased by as coming at a later date.
