The Knights had four games of American Legion action this weekend, starting it off with a 12-6 win Friday against the Kalispell Lakers Gold. Pryce Velichko led the way offensively in that win with three RBIs on four hits and two runs scored. JJ Harnett started the game on the mound for the Knights, recording four strikeouts in two innings pitched. Mace Carrire came into the game in relief with two strikeouts in two innings, Lance Macpherson worked the last inning of the game with a strikeout. The Knights opened their Saturday action with a 6-5 win against the Glacier Twins. Cade Moch led the offence with two RBIs on one hit. Nixon Kunkel started the game and picked up the win with 5.1 innings pitched, registering two strikeouts. Parker Krauss threw 1.2 innings out of the bullpen. Medicine Hat lost their second game Saturday, falling 6-5 against the U16 CDA Lumbermen. Krauss led the offence with three RBIs with two hits. Velichko started the game on the mound with 4.1 innings pitched and two strikeouts. Dryden Pidlisny worked 1.2 innings to finish the game. The Knights wrapped up their weekend with a 10-8 loss against the U16 Northern Lake Mountaineers on Sunday. Macpherson was the Knights offensive leader in that loss, with an RBI on two hits and three runs scored. Moch started the game and recorded four strikeouts in his three innings pitched. Dylan Amundson worked 1.1 innings before Talen Crockford took over to pitch 1.2 innings. Wryder Welte finished the game with a strikeout in his lone inning of work. The Knights (15-21) were in action Tuesday night with a double header against the Vauxhall Spurs, those games were not complete by press time. Monarchs The Medicine Hat U18 Moose Monarchs had three games against the Lethbridge Elks over the weekend. The Monarchs (13-11) opened the three-game stint with a 12-4 win over the Elks on Saturday. Kyle Woolridge led the Medicine Hat offence with five RBIs on three hits with two runs scored. Evan Morrison started the game for the Monarchs and struck out three batters in his 5.2 innings. Jeff Bullock came into the game in relief, registering a strikeout across 1.1 innings. The Monarchs dropped their second game Saturday, falling 6-3 against Lethbridge. Morrison led the offence with two hits driving in three RBIs with a run scored. Trevin Ressler pitched a complete game, striking out four across seven innings. Medicine Hat lost their final game of the weekend, falling 5-4 Sunday evening. Fischer Haysom had one RBI on a hit with a run scored. Cade Harrison started the game for the Monarchs, registering a strikeout in one inning pitched. Kayne Olinski struck out three in his four innings pitched. Bullock came into the game in relief, working 1.2 innings. 14
