Twist and Flips Gymnastics wraps up final competition of season

sports@medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews The Medicine Hat Twist and Flip Gymnastics club is flipping into summer after their final competition of the season. The local club competed at the Flip Flop Invitational Meet in Wainwright on Saturday. Five female athletes represented Twist and Flip at the competition, picking up a combined nine medals and 16 ribbons. Adrianna Dewar competed in Level 3 in her respective age category, placing first on Beam, fifth on Vault, seventh on Floor and Bars and sixth All-Around. Sophia Calhoun, Phoenix Hale, Brooke Moreton and Brooklyn Thomlinson represented Medicine Hat’s Level 2 athletes in their respective age categories. Calhoun placed third on Floor, fourth on Vault, fifth on Bars, sixth on Beam and fifth All-Around. Hale placed second on Beam, third on Vault and Floor, fourth on Bars and fourth All-Around. Moreton took first place on Floor, second on Beam, third on Bars, fifth on Vault and second All-Around. Thomlinson placed fourth on Beam and Floor, fifth on Bars, sixth on Vault and seventh All-Around. 7-6
