The JV Colts trailed 9-4 but rallied for seven runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to beat the Vauxhall Vikings 11-9. Merrick Kurpjuweit pitched three scoreless innings to earn the win on the mound. He allowed just one walk and no hits while striking out two Vauxhall batters. Offensively, the JV Colts were led by Asha Frey who had a double, two runs scored and three RBIs. Ethan Grad chipped in with an RBI double and Liam Cunningham scored twice. McCoy’s JV squad now has an early season record of 2-0. Their next matchup is with the MHHS JV Mohawks today at 5:30 p.m. at McCoy Field. 7
