AMAC swim clubs races at two meets over weekend

The Alberta Marlin Aquatic Club showcased their skills while attending two swim meets this weekend.

AMAC swam at both the 46th Annual Chinook Invitational hosted by the Calgary Patriots Swim Club and attended the Dino Cup swim meet hosted by University Calgary Swim Club.

They had 24 swimmers aged 11 and over (girls) and 12 and over boys swim at the Chinook Invitational, here are their top-20 results.

Girls 11-12 

Breagh Kohlman (11) achieved six new best times, placing sixth in 200m Medley B-Relay and 200M Free B-Relay, 15th in 50m Breast and 17th in 100m Breast.

Emily Carter (11) Placed 18th in 100m Breast and 50m Breast.

Estelle Grisak (12) Placed fourth in 200M Free A-Relay, fifth in 200m Medley A-Relay, eighth in 200m Back, 10th in 50m Back, 11th in 100m Back and in 100m Free, 15th in 400m Free and 18th in 50m Free. 

 Jordyn Jackson (11) Placed sixth in 200m Medley B-Relay and 200M Free B-Relay. 

Jordyn Nikiel (12) Placed sixth in 200m Medley B-Relay and 200M Free B-Relay, eighth in 100m Back and in 100m Free, 12th in 400m Free, 13th in 200m Free and 50m Free and 15th in 50m Back.

 Lauren Gainsborough (12) Placed fourth in 200M Free A-Relay, fifth in 200m Medley A-Relay, ninth in 50m Fly, 14th in 50m Back, 17th in 100m Back, 18th in 400m Free and 20th in 100m Free. 

 Lily McWilliams (12) achieved six new best times and made one new qualifying time for provincial champs. She placed second in 50m Free, fourth in 200m Free, A-Relay and 100m Free, fifth in 200m Medley A-Relay, seventh in 100m Back, ninth in 50m Breast, 13th in 400m Free and 19th in 200m Free.

Nayla Berg (11) Placed fifth in 200m Medley A-Relay, sixth in 200m Free, B-Relay, eighth in 50m Breast, ninth in 100m Breast, 14th in 200m IM and 20th in 400m Free.

Sophia Solven (12) Placed fourth in 200m Free, A-Relay, sixth in 200m Medley B-Relay, 12th in 50m Fly, 15th in 100m Free and 50m Free, 17th in 200m Back and 20th in 100m Back.

Girls 13-14 

Aliya Seeley (13) Placed sixth in 200m Free, A-Relay, ninth in 200m Medley C-Relay and 20th in 400m Free.

Ava Wentzel (13) Placed ninth in 200m Medley C-Relay, 10th in 200m Free, A-Relay, 15th in 50m Fly.

Aydria Berg (14) Placed 10th in 200m Free, A-Relay, 11th in 200m Medley B-Relay,13th in 50m Fly and 20th in 100m Breast.

Jordan Hill (14) Placed ninth in 200m Medley C-Relay and 10th in 200m Free, A-Relay.

Kora Kurpjuweit (14) Placed 6th in 200m Medley A-Relay, 11th in 50m Fly and 13th in 100m Fly.

Morgan Hobson (14) Gualified for provincial trials in two events, placing fourth in 50m Breast, fifth in 100m Breast and 200m Free, sixth in 200m Medley A-Relay and 200m Free, A-Relay, 10th in 100m Free and 11th in 200m IM.

Teagan Hollingworth (13) Placed ninth in 200m Medley C-Relay and 10th in 200m Free and A-Relay.

Girls 15 and Over 

Abigail Begin (15) Placed sixth in 200m Medley A-Relay and 200m Free A-Relay, ninth in 200m Back, 10th in 50m Back, 11th in 100m Back and 14th in 100m Breast.

Amethyst Millar (15) Placed 11th in 200m Medley B-Relay and 200m Back and 14th in 50m Breast.

Irene Hernandez Acosta (17) Placed 11th in 200m Medley B-Relay and 18th in 100m Breast.

Kemah Kohlman (15) Placed 11TH in 200m Medley B-Relay and 17th in 100m Breast.

Sara McFadyen (16) Placed fifth in 200m Breast, sixth in 200m Medley A-Relay and 200m Free, A-Relay, 11th in 100m Breast and 12th in 50m Breast.

Boys 11-12 

Bokken Sandford (12) Placed seventh in 50m Fly, 13th in 100m Back, 15th in 100m Free and 50m Back, 16th in 50m Breast and 17th in 50m Free.

Boys 13-14 

Caen McWilliams (13) Placed sixth in 100m Back and 400m Free, seventh in 50m Back, eighth in 200m Free,10th in 50m Fly and 11th in 100m Free.

 

Leo Yonkman (13) Placed 16th in 50m Fly.

AMAC had 19 swimmers aged 10 and under (girls) and 11 and under (boys) compete at the Dino Cup, here are their top-20 results.

Girls 8-years-old

Amelia Grisak (8) Placed 19th in 25m Fly. 

Isabelle McWilliams (8) Placed 10th in 100m Back, 15th in 25m Fly, 16th in 50m Breast and 100m Breast and 19th in 100m Free.

Lillian Liebenberg (8) Placed 15th in 100m Free, 17th in 25m Fly and 18th in 50m Breast.

Mackenzie Hobson (8) Placed fifth in 50m Breast and 25m Fly, sixth in 50m Free and 100m Free, eighth in 100m Back and 10th in 100m Breast. 

Girls 9-years-old

Isabela Josey (9) Placed seventh in 50m Breast, 15th in 100m Free and 16th in 100m Breast.

Maria Robinson (9) Placed 18th in 100m Back.

Olivia McWilliams (9) Made three new qualifying times for festivals placing fourth in 100m Free, fifth in 50m Back, sixth in 100m Breast and 50m Free, seventh in 200m Free and 10th in 100m IM. 

Girls 10-years-old 

Abigail Holden (10) Placed 12th in 50m Fly.

Carleigh Gainsborough (10) Made 1 new qualifying time for festivals placing 14th in 100m Back and 17th in 50m Back.

Charlotte Kurpjuweit (10) Placed 14th in 200m Free.

Olivia Liebenberg (10) Made 3 new qualifying times for festivals. Placed seventh in 200m Free, 10th in 100m Free, 14th in 50m Free, 15th in 50m Breast and 19th in 100m Breast.

Boys 8-years-old

Piercyn Berg (8) Placed fourth in 50m Breast and 100m Breast, fifth in 100m Free, 12th in 100m Back, 14th in 50m Free and 17th in 50m Back. 

 Boys 9-years-old

Daniel Appleton (9) Placed 14th in 25m Fly.

Kolton Clarke (9) Placed fifth in 25m Fly, 10th in 50m Fly, 14th in 100m Free and 20th in 100m Back.

 Boys 10-years-old 

Austin Seeley (10) Placed 10th in 50m Fly, 14th in 50m Breast, 17th in 100m Breast and 20th in 50m Free and 100m Free. 

Boys 11-years-old

Ethan Albers (11) Placed 17th in 50m Breast and 100m Breast.

Gage Anderson (11) Placed first in 50m Free, second in 50m Back and fourth in 200m Free. 

Jack Mulligan (11) Made 1 new qualifying time for festivals placing fifth in 50m Fly, 12th in 50m Free, 13th in 50m Breast, 14th in 100m Back and 20th in 50m Back.

Masao Mori (11) Placed first in 100m Free, 100m IM, 100m Back, 200m IM, 100m Fly and 50m Back.

Next up for the club is the LACS Spring Challenge in Lethbridge, May 5th-7th.
