sports@medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews The Medicine Hat College Rattlers women’s futsal team’s season came to a close last weekend at the provincial championships. The Rattlers dropped their three contests at the Alberta College Athletic Conference’s championships hosted by Keyano College in Fort McMurray. They opened their tournament on Friday with a 5-3 loss against King’s University Eagles. Maisa Rebello had the Rattlers only goal in the first half with Kadence Dulle-Goller and Alyssa Heidel each scoring in the second half for the third-seeded team from the South Division. Later on Friday, the Rattlers lost a close battle with the NAIT Ooks, falling 3-2. Rowan Prud’homme scored in the first half for Medicine Hat and Rebello added a marker of her own. In what was their final game of the championship tournament, the Rattlers lost to the eventual silver medalist SAIT Trojans 8-1. Prud’homme had the Rattlers lone goal. 7
