SAHA falls in lone weekend contest

The South Alberta Hockey Academy’s U18 men’s team lost Saturday in their only game of the weekend.

The SAHA men’s team faced the International Hockey Academy on Saturday and lost 7-4, their first regulation loss of the CSSHL season. Nick McLennan, a Prince George Cougars prospect, had two goals in the loss to lead the offence. Noah Dziver and Medicine Hat Tigers prospect Brett Calhoon each had a goal and Gavin McKenna had two assists.

Tigers prospects Ethan McCallum and Zach Zahara split the game in net, making a combined 32 saves.

The SAHA men’s team (4-1-0-1) are back in action this weekend as they face Notre Dame and Prairie Hockey Academy on the road Saturday and Sunday respectively.

The SAHA women’s team (4-0) have their home opener Sunday when they host RHA Winnipeg before welcoming Pilot Mound Hockey Academy on Monday morning, both games at Big Marble Go Centre.
