Medicine Hat News Unsurprisingly, Aaron Crawford isn’t done with football yet. The 32-year-old from Medicine Hat signed a two-year contract to remain the long snapper with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Thursday, following a year he came back from a serious injury. Crawford, who tore his ACL the previous season, didn’t start 2018 with a contract. But after getting back to game shape the Tiger-Cats signed him and he played 13 games. In six CFL seasons he’s played 80 games, registering 19 special teams tackles but more importantly providing consistent snapping, a niche skill that’s kept him employed and Hamilton coaches raving he’s one of the best they’ve ever seen at it. Both Crawford and fellow teammate and Gas City product Connor McGough are coming home Dec. 19 for a special event at Crescent Heights High School. They’ll give a 7 p.m. presentation, pose for photos and raise money and donations for the food bank. 7
