Medicine Hat News It wasn’t her best time of the year, nor her best result, but the good news was that Sage Watson ran in Thursday’s Diamond League event at all. Watson, who didn’t run at nationals due to what she referred to as a foot injury, finished seventh in the women’s 400 metre hurdles event in Zurich, Switzerland in a time of 55.57 seconds. Her season best of 54.55 came before the injury. She ran twice in England since missing nationals, but didn’t take the line at a major event in Toronto in July. The first-year professional from Seven Persons had qualified for Zurich by finishing fifth Aug. 18 in Birmingham in 57.11 seconds. American Daliliah Muhammad won Thursday in 53.88 seconds. 7
