The Medicine Hat AAA majors baseball team picked up three straight victories at the Alberta Little League Championship in Lethbridge this weekend after opening the tournament with a lopsided loss.
The under-13 squad picked up a 10-9 victory over Rocky Mountain Saturday — thanks to a walk-off sacrifice fly from Jory Graves —then added a 9-4 win over CalWest and a 12-0 blowout of Confederation Park Sunday.
Carson Christensen earned the win over CalWest after holding his opponents to four runs on two hits and five walks while fanning seven through 4 and 1/3.
Christensen also added 5 RBI while going a perfect 8-for-8 with 6 RBIover the three-game span.
Graves added 4 RBI while going 4-for-6 through the weekend.
The wins put Medicine Hat at 3-1 after an 18-1 loss to Bow Ridge in Friday’s opener.
The majors are back in action Monday against Fish Creek.
