The Earls Phantoms padded their lead atop the Medicine Hat Senior Men’s Outdoor Soccer League standings with a narrow 3-2 win over the Rattlers Athletic Soccer Club Sunday.

Ryan Anstey potted a pair and Brendan Lutz added a third to help sink the Rattlers — who were led by goals from Davin Picard and Garren Oosterhuis.

The setback leaves the Rattlers at the bottom of the pack with an 0-4 record, while Earls improved to 5-1 with the win.

Earlier Sunday, the Alleycat Angels jumped into third place with a 9-2 drubbing of the Wild. Albert Musliu netted a hat trick, Austin Price and Adam Wilson each added a pair and Davis Grisciski and Thomas Hammerton rounded out the scoring to push the Angels to 2-2 on the season.

Ryan Potvin and Paul Anderson scored for the Wild in the loss, leaving them at 1-3.

Ralston holds the second place position as the league’s only undefeated squad at 3-0.
