Medicine Hat’s high school boys rugby teams won one and lost one Wednesday.

At Lethbridge, the Mohawks — who have players from all three Hat high schools but are officially from Hat High — played junior and varsity games against Winston Churchill.

The varsity boys lost 39-14, with tries from Alex McNaughton and Eden Jonkers both converted by Lachlan Hardiker.

The junior varsity roster came away with a 22-5 win, including two tries from Jordan Larochelle and singles from Ashton Larson and Anthony Hullah. Braydon Thompson kicked one convert.

Medicine Hat’s girls team is slated to play at FP Walshe today. Both teams are at home next week against Chinook to wrap up the regular season, with the Vikings girls hosting at the Methanex Bowl Tuesday and the Mohawks playing at Hat High Wednesday.
