Medicine Hat News It was a one-sided affair at Athletic Park Tuesday as the Monsignor McCoy Colts beat Eagle Butte’s Talons 16-0 in a mercy-rule shortened high school baseball game. Eagle Butte managed just one hit off McCoy pitcher Ethan Boutkan, a first-inning triple by Eric Lust. But he was stranded on third and the Talons got just one other baserunner in the minimum five innings. Boutkan struck out 10 while his offence put up runs in every inning. Wyatt Bergen had a double and a triple to wind up with 4 RBI, shortstop Payton Cox went 3-for-4 and Kayden Berndt also had a double, a triple and 2 RBI. On Monday, Crescent Heights beat Oyen’s South Central 6-3, coming from behind with single runs in each of their last four at-bats. Heyden Harrison threw four innings of one-hit relief, striking out seven for the Vikings. Dylan Fauth got the win, also letting up one hit and striking out four but also walking 10 Scorpions in three innings. Catcher Layton Neigum had a solid 2-for-3 day at the plate for Crescent Heights. 8
