Medicine Hat News The McCoy Colts doubled up the Brooks Buffalos 6-3 Friday at Jeffries Field thanks to a fifth-inning rally. Wyatt Bergen’s 2-RBI triple off Brooks reliever Dax Wandler gave the hosts a 5-1 lead they wouldn’t relinquish despite a couple late runs from the Buffalos. Brooks got RBI singles from Alonso Ruiz and Wandler in the sixth inning, but Colts reliever Ethan Boutkan settled down to strike out four and earn the long save. Bergen got the win, only allowing one hit while striking out nine through the first four frames. Centre-fielder Joel Herron went 2-for-4 with a double for McCoy, while Brett Gray went 2-for-3 with two doubles in the loss. 6
