Medicine Hat News Brianna Finke had two first-period goals and Maddy Ferguson made 14 saves as the Medicine Hat Wildcats improved to 2-0 at the peewee B girls hockey provincials Friday with a 2-1 win over Innisfail. At the Kinplex, Finke’s goals stood up as the hosts outshot Innisfail 27-15. Alexandra Evans scored with 3:42 remaining to set up a tense finish, but the Wildcats prevailed. Medicine Hat faces Lloydminster, which is also 2-0, in its final round robin game Saturday at the Kinplex. Both teams are assured a spot in Sunday’s semifinals, either at 8 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. The final will then be played at 4 p.m. 5
