Medicine Hat News Devo FC padded their lead atop the Medicine Hat Senior Men’s Indoor Soccer League standings with a pair of victories over the Rattlers under-18 squad and the Ralston Rovers. Devo kicked things off with a 5-4 win over the Rattlers last Tuesday, led by a hat trick from Allan Siwela, before shutting out the Rovers 3-0 Sunday to put them at 16-0-1 on the season with just one game left in the regular season. While the Earls Phantoms have a game in hand, they sit well off the pace at 12-4-0 following Tuesday’s 3-1 win over the Rattlers under-17 squad. Ralston competed in four games over the past two weeks. After defeating the PBR Rangers 3-1, the Rovers topped the Rattlers under-17 team 4-3 before falling to Devo FC then beating the Rattlers under-18 squad 5-1 to sit this at 10-7-0. The Rattlers under-18 squad has already locked up fourth in the standings at 7-9-1. The Rangers and Wild, both at 4-10-2, will battle for fifth in a rescheduled regular season finale at the Family Leisure Centre on March 20. League action continues with evening games on Sunday and Tuesday at the Family Leisure Centre. 8
